Tapestries UnLimited "Designed & Made on Cape Cod"k
Born in Warsaw Poland, Margo Sherman graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst Campus, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandizing. Early in her career Margo was introduced to the intricacies of the New York Fashion Market.
In 1986 she opened Truly Unique; a children’s clothes boutique, in Sturbridge, Massachusetts were she designed, produced, and sold her own designs.
In 2002, Margo started Tapestries UnLimited with a special request order for a ‘unique & distinctive’ placemat in a wine/vineyard theme. Margo chose an Italian Jacquard Loom woven, heirloom quality tapestry in a large wine bottle motif. With hand fringed edging, it was a great success. From that point, Margo went on to develop a Vineyard Collection of table topper & gift items for winery gift shops and established over 30 vineyard customers in the Napa & Sonoma Valleys of California as well as the Finger Lake region of New York State.
Since then, Margo has grown the product line to include a Seaside Theme in both fine tapestry and most recently in a bright Decorative Woven Cotton Cloth material, perfect for Cape Codders & visitors who are looking for unique material and design. The Seaside Theme consists of Jackets, Shoulder Bags, Totes, Tablerunners, Coasters and Placemats as well as Cape Cod gift items. All items are made on Cape Cod by Margo.
Along with being offered at Shanty #2 at ‘Harbor Your Arts’ in Hyannis, Margo’s items are also offered at fine galleries & gift shops on the Cape & Islands.
